America’s Next Top Preacher

ANTP is the competition preaching reality show that pits contestants against each other to see who will make it as a celebrity preacher! How will they fare? Yes, the chubby guy is Mark Driscoll.

Originally published on July 9th, 2015, this came long before the news of Mark Driscoll moving to Phoenix. That would be addressed in a later film.  I also published this completely unaware of two other existing videos, one being a satire called “America’s Next Top Pastor,” and the other being an actual reality TV pitch called So You Think You Can Preach?  At least I admit that my show is bad and honorably bow out, right?

Andy Stanley: Air Traffic Controller

Andy Stanley applies his principles of love over law to air traffic control with his radar prophetess, Beth Moore. Meanwhile, Rachel Held Evans and Nadia Bolz-Weber wax elequently on the finer points of feminist airframe design.

Originally published on May 14th, 2015, this came in the wake of Andy Stanley stating that verse-by-verse expository preaching was “lazy,” among other questionable statements.  This was too early for such statements like telling parents that attending a small church is selfish.

I am aware that Andy Stanley has apologized for the latter remark, but it is merely one of many critical errors.  Stanley is in no position to criticize congregational selfishness when his entire ecclesiology is based upon harnessing the power of congregational selfishness.
